In one of the strangest bout announcements in recent memory, K-1 has announced that the larger-than-life Bob Sapp (9-3-1) has agreed to face Japanese anime character Kinniku Mantaro.
The bout will take place at the year-ending FieLDS Dynamite!! 2008 event at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Japan's daily newspaper "Yomiuri" printed a special interview with TVXQ and ended up selling out extremely quickly. This has become much talked about.

But there was a rare sighting this time. At the top of the shelf were the latest albums by two major artists in Korea, possibly two of the most famous and successful pop singers in the country: Dong Bang Shin Gi, a boy band also known as TVXQ, and Rain.
TVXQ's fourth album, "Mirotic," has sold more than 482,000 copies as of Nov. 30 since its release in September, making it the best-selling album since Seo Tai-ji put out his seventh album in 2004.
Not only that, TVXQ won the Grand Award, one of the most prestigious awards in Korea's pop industry, at the Golden Disk Awards last Wednesday.

Fans swarmed the Korean pop star's show in California. And now, Choi Dong Wook, known as Se7en, will take on Washington.
"Nobody hates the number 7," Se7en said about his favorite number. "I want to be everyone's luck. I want to give them luck from my music."
The 25-year-old has won nine Korean Music Awards (equivalent to Grammys), as well as Most Popular Korean Singer (MTV Asia Awards).
In addition, he's sold out shows in both South Korea and Japan, in arenas that sit 20,000. And after four albums in South Korea and two albums in Japan, he's ready for the states.
"My music is pop and R&B, so the music that I love is born here, in America," said Se7en, who has been singing since age 5. "In Asia, every singer, their best dream is America."

AF - Currently the ones shining Korea and asia is Dbsk. Dbsk's 4th album Mirotic has taken over the number one spot in Korea, Japan, Thailand and etc. Last October DBSK took 1st place in weekly Oricon chart and had highest album sales for foreign artists in Thailand.
Dbsk on the 15th in "2008 Mnet Km Music Festival" had won ALBUM of the year, the highest Daesang as well as took over the BIG5 awards even with the long out of country activites, without a shake, and without a doubt. They have one again took over the title of Korea's Best Idol Group and have proven this so.
Especially on the 20th in the Hanteo Charts, DBSK 4th album had hit 300,000 album sales. The SM.ENT company had announced however they had reached 360,000 currently. ( HANTEO charts update is slower)
Even with the current state of digital sales being over album sales, DBSK being able to sell over 300,000 album is truely amazing and meaningful. Even though this year has been the best year with the artists/idols passing 100,000 album selling were Kim Dong-Yul, Big bang, Brown Eyes, Seo Taiji and etc. Although They have all passed record sales of 100,000 , the amount of sales DBSK has sold has surpassed even this.

Popular group Dong bang Shin Ki, who have made their comeback after 1 year and 7 months gathered much new interest after taking a blood type based dating psychology test.
As part of the popular “Psychology break” corner of SBS Power FM’s Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time (something like Toho-psychology in Bigeaststation I presume), the Dong Bang boys took some time to take a psychology test.

Over 300,000 copies of Dong Bang Shin Ki's new 4th album have been pre-ordered causing the official release date to be pushed back for two days to Sept 26 2008.
Because of the large number of preorders, based on translations of reports from allkpop.com and asianfanatics.net, it's caused a shortage in the supply chain.

MIROTIC has racked up approximately 300,000 pre-orders causing a shortage from supply chain, hence the release date was pushed back.
TVXQ members said, "Thank you for waiting and for the tremendous amount of support. We have been working very hard to not disappoint anyone."

Yunho: This time, our album title song and theme is "Mirotic." It was Jaejoong's idea. The word comes from "Miro," which carries the meaning of being unable to pull yourself out of somtehing, and "Tic." The idea is to make you feel as if you cannot pull yourself away/out from the fourth album. It includes a lot of ideas and opinions from the members.
Junsu and Changmin participated in the lyric-writing. Coming back to Korea after 1 year and 7 months, we've carried the memories and feelings with us and have worked hard. Even now, we want to show a better TVXQ through different music styles, and the past years have been like an extension of a blank period. Why is this a big deal? Tohoshinki (known as DBSK in Korea) is breaking records for non-Japanese artists on Japan's Oricon chart.
They are the first non-Japanese group to have three #1 songs on the music chart. The third record-breaking #1 came just a couple of weeks ago with the release of "Why have I fallen in Love with You?". They have also been consistently in the top 10 on Japan's weekly Oricon music charts with their albums and singles releases.

Jiro: I have worked with Danson a lot so we already understand each other very well. On set, sometimes because we know each other so well, it is sometimes awkward when filming and then we all laugh, but “Rolling Love” is our 5th drama together, the characters are also different, compared to previous roles, our collaboration has been even more meaningful.
