Michael Jackson Denies He Is to Father Quadruplets

By Mark Sage, PA News, in New York

Pop star Michael Jackson today denied a magazine report that he is to father quadruplets.

Us Weekly reported that a surrogate mother in Florida was pregnant with the Thriller star’s four babies.

But a statement on Jackson’s official website, MJJsource.com said: “Us Weekly magazine reported on Tuesday, July 20, 2004, that Michael Jackson is about to become a father of quadruplets. MJJsource denies the validity of this report.

It added: “There will be no further comments on this matter from MJJsource.”

The magazine reported that Jackson, who is currently battling child sex abuse allegations, stayed in a £2,500-per-night hotel in Miami Beach during the visit.

A spokesman for Us Weekly said the magazine was sticking by its story.

Jackson, 45, already has three young children, Prince Michael and daughter Paris by former wife, Debbie Rowe, and Prince Michael II, whose mother is not publicly known.

The mother of Prince Michael II was a surrogate, the pop star has previously revealed.

Jackson is currently on £1.6 million bail pending trial over allegations that he sexually molested a teenage cancer patient at the Neverland ranch in California.

Jackson has denied the accusations calling them a “big lie”.

He pleaded not guilty to committing a lewd act upon a child, administering an intoxicating agent — alcohol — and conspiring to commit child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion.

His trial is due to start in September.

Michael Jackson denies reports of quadruplets
J-W Wire Reports

Wednesday, July 21, 2004

Us Weekly magazine reports that Michael Jackson, who is due to go on trial in his child molestation case Sept. 13, is expecting quadruplets -- a story the singer flatly denies.

Jackson's representative, Raymone Bain, has issued a statement saying the report of the quads "is not true and we are not going to further comment on stories of this nature."

Bain also denied that Jackson, who is facing a trial later this year on child molestation charges, was to be the father of any children born through a surrogate-mother arrangement. "This is not true. None of this is true," she said.

But a spokeswoman for Us Weekly said the magazine stood by its story, which cited unnamed sources close to Jackson as saying he recently spent time in Florida with an unidentified woman who was pregnant with quadruplets she was to bear for the singer.

Meanwhile, USA Today says that the National Enquirer reports the woman is a former Prince groupie who was chosen to be the surrogate mom after she wrote Jackson a fan letter.

Jackson already has three children: Prince Michael, 7, and Paris, 6, both born to Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe, and Prince Michael II, 2, born to an unknown surrogate mother.
