Jackson jury to deliberate only a half-day today
SANTA MARIA, Calif. After three full days of deliberations, there's still no verdict in Michael Jackson's child-molestation trial in California.
Jurors are scheduled to put in a-half day today, apparently to accommodate family graduations.
Jackson spokeswoman Raymone Bain confirms the entertainer visited a hospital near his Neverland ranch yesterday. She says it was a scheduled appointment for treatment of back trouble and says everything is "O-K."
Meanwhile, defense Attorney Thomas Mesereau (MEZ'-uh-roh) says he has not authorized anyone to hold news conferences on Jackson's behalf. His apparent goal is to assure the judge the defense had not violated a gag order.
Bain says all of her comments to reporters, including Jackson health updates, have been cleared with Mesereau.
