re Sony publishing takeover of Acuff-Rose

Wow.......this is an eye opener. Jackson definitely is nowhere near bankruptcy. Please pass this on:

That Sony publishing takeover of Acuff-Rose is a HUGE DEAL. Acuff-Rose is the #1 Nashville based (country music) songwriting publishing house......and they own rights to many of the biggest country hits of all time.

Unlike most other genre's of music, older country songs have much more shelf-life......that is..... many of those old songs are re-recorded by modern country acts...resulting in royalties for the publisher. Also, there are a growing number of classic-country stations (esp in the south) that play a lot of Acuff-Rose penned songs......most notably WSM Nashville.....the 50,000 watt clear-channel station on AM that can reach 2/3's of the US at night (and claims Bush 41 and Barbara Bush as regular listeners...they even have called in to request songs)

And, the fact that Sony FINANCED MJs SHARE OF THE ACUFF-ROSE DEAL is a SWEET business deal. The royalties from Acuff-Rose alone will cover any interest payments MJ would have to pay

I dont think even Friedman realizes how much money the Acuff-Rose deal is worth......and he wrote the article positively for Jackson!

We can count the "MJ is bankrupt" spiel as "more media BS". Not having "liquid assets" is not being bankrupt.

And, obviously, if MJ was so seriously in financial trouble, the banks would have called in the loans and seized property. They wont, because that publishing library MJ owns w Sony is such huge collaterial that MJ could never borrow more than the Sony/ATM is worth.

I can elaborate further on this if you would like.

Anyone who listens to, and is somewhat familiar with country music knows that owning half of ACUFF-ROSE PUBLISHING is HUGE

DD talked about how Rudy was a good witness, despite not linking MJ to anything.

Reporters from other networks talking about how Rudy was a complete failure for Sneddon and that he has crumbled under cross. Apparently Rudy claimed he was keeping a running diary of events, but Mez has gotten him to admit that he actually made the diary AFTER the fact and may have actually come up with the whole thing AFTER the charges surfaced.

In other words Diane Dimwit is back to being anti-MJ.

Oh come on guys! some of us are BOUND TO BECOME CONFUSED...GIVEN WHAT a sorry excuse FOR A CRIMINAL CASE, this HAS BEEN!

If you think we're confused..just think of the jury! Let's hope they will feel and direct enormous gratitude toward the defense for FINALLY MAKING SENSE OF ALL THIS and most importantly....providing them with the very timeline, sneddy has spent this whole case, thus far r-u-n-n-i-n-g from!

In the end, none of sneddy's nasty little sound bites will be heared by this jury for deliberations, neither can they be used to rescue him, in the public eye once the defense begins their case! Sneddy will have to come to the reallization that HE JUST GOT USED in regard to being pumped up by the media to present this sham of a case, Diane Diamond included.
All the networks/media have been doing is using this time to make as much money off this ca$e, so it would'nt hurt so much to pay off the lawsuits from MJ and other's over the events of 93' & the trash talk ever sense.

Watch how the media will now attempt to completely turn on sneddy, making him the scapegoat of all this! They will even hand him over to MJ's attorneys, on a silver platter, as their official source since 93'!

TSColdMan (MJJF)

CourtTV (DD) Reports:

- 85th witness -- Rudy Provencio will be on re-direct after the break is over
- Has been a police informant for more than a year
- Began to think that something was wrong when working with Jackson
- People started going into a panic mode when they got the script to LWMJ
- Read from his journal -- "The family went from being called nice to stupid Mexicans"
- Said he began to keep the journals as he had since he was a teenager
- When police knocked on his door, he started recording calls for more than a year

- Mez zero'd in on these journals he kept
- Mez asked, "How come you just turned in some of these notes just a week ago, if you've been taking them all along?"
- Answer: I thought I lost this journal. I suddenly found it.
- Mez asked, "You are just turning over these notes?"
- Answer: "No, the first time I met the police I started turning over my notes. I just found these notes recently."
- Mez asked, "Didn't you tell Vinnie Amen that Marc Schaffel never let people talk to Jackson?"
- Answer: "That's right. Schaffel really likes to hog the spot-light."
- Mez asked, "Didn't you also say that all fingers point to Marc for anything that had gone wrong?"
- Answer: "Yeah, maybe I did say that but Jackson knew everything that was happening. He knew."
- DD: I'm not sure the jury is convinced of that, Nancy.
- He talked about two conference calls that he overheard where Jackson, Schaffel, and Weizner were talking about the family and what to do with the family.
- Said, "we want to take them to Florida, we want to have a press-conference."
- Michael retorted, "I don't really like to do press-conferences. But lets go somewhere fun."
- DD: I'm not sure that that's enough for the jury to put Jackson in the middle of the conspiracy
- That's what he has testified to so far.

Umm a week?? WTF?? A week!!! :screaming No No this case will not stop in a week we need to let all our bomshells out of are bags!! Its time the world knows! the thing is, except for the conspiracy charge, this whole trial is probably the defense's to lose -- and every time you call a witness, you're introducing a new wild card. Ask District Attorney Thomas Sneddon if you don't believe that.

Witness says Jackson camp worried about blackmail
Wed May 4, 2005 04:49 PM ET

SANTA MARIA, Calif. (Reuters) - Michael Jackson and his aides huddled in February 2003 to discuss making a video that would protect his image after considering whether he could become the target of "blackmail" by the family of his accuser, a witness told jurors on Wednesday.

Rudy Provencio, a record producer and former manager of Jackson's Neverland Valley Entertainment, was called to the stand in an effort by prosecutors to tie the 46-year-old entertainer directly to what they claim was a conspiracy to imprison the family of the then-13-year-old boy who accuses him of sexual molestation.

Provencio said he continued a nearly lifelong practice of taking detailed notes during the period just before and after a documentary aired in which Jackson was shown cuddling with the boy and defending his practice of sharing his bed with children.

In one conference call in early February 2003, before the damaging documentary had aired, Jackson was urged by his associates, including unindicted co-conspirator Marc Schaffel, to make a "rebuttal video" that could save his career and make money, Provencio said.

Schaffel, he said, told Jackson that the family of the boy "could ruin your career. They could blackmail you." Later, Provencio said Schaffel alarmed him when he made "a flippant remark about killers" pursuing the family.

A second Jackson associate, Vincent Amen, assured him that there were no killers, but that the boy was being harassed in school for his alleged sexual relation with Jackson, he said.

In early March, around the time the mother of Jackson's accuser says she fled Neverland, Schaffel broke off a phone call, saying he could not talk because "they just escaped," Provencio said.

Schaffel, he said, also coached Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe through her appearance in a rebuttal video, telling her at one point that she should "cry better."

Schaffel, who had also worked as a pornographic video producer, referred to the family of Jackson's accuser as "stupid Mexicans" at one point, Provencio said.

Prosecutors, who are wrapping up their case against Jackson after some two months, argue that Jackson's camp was panicked by the documentary by journalist Martin Bashir and its threat to the entertainer's image, setting in chain the events that saw the boy's family confined to Jackson's Neverland estate.

"I thought it was fishy and it was moving so quickly that if I didn't write it down I might forget it," Provencio said.

Jackson, who has pleaded innocent, is charged with plying the boy with alcohol in order to molest him, conspiring to hold the boy's family at Neverland and bullying them into making a video praising him. He faces over 20 years in prison if convicted on all 10 charges.

On cross-examination, defense lawyer Tom Mesereau suggested that Provencio had written down his notes later, confusing dates in the process, in an effort to interject himself into the high-profile case and make money from a book.

"Sir, you went back and wrote those notes because you wanted to be involved in this case," Mesereau said.

"God, no. And ruin my career?" Provencio responded.

"It just so happens that all the dates are wrong?" Mesereau asked.

"Not all the dates are wrong," Provencio said.
