However, that's what WE want. He's not going to just try to please us.

Don't worry about this Montagu asshole. According to research, his kids were born until 1993. So this son he claims had these long conversations with Mike would have been 6 AT THE MOST, but probably younger than that. I don't know if you're ever been around any 6 year old, but getting 10 minutes of their undivided attention is like a miracle from God. So no, I simply don't believe his (exaggerated?) tale to make himself more important then he really is. And I'm surprised this is coming from Mike Taibbi. This sounds like some Us Weekly bull$hit.
The Montagu dude is just another character desperately trying to inject himself into the situation. Threats? From who? And why? Of all the kids MJ has been in touch with, suddenly his kid is the one with some vital info?.... Whatever... :extremely Kinda funny that he is stressing the point that he has no evidence of anything improper happening with his kid. Nonetheless, if he is on the stand and testifies, he has nothing that the Defense can't deal with.

Wanna bet his story becomes a page 31 story by tomorrow morning?

I agree.
The timing of this story is quite interesting. Monday is a BIG DAY for the prosecution and you can almost see them on their knees begging for 93/94 to be admitted. But what is quite telling--and no one seems to be bothering to report--is that the defense doesn't appear to be the least bit nervous nor are they fighting too hard to keep it away. It seems only natural that a story like this would materialize to give people the illusion that the defense might be worried.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the pundits will spin this one... :popcorn

No he isn't. ANd that's why I'm not going to give him some special exemption b/c he's Mike Taibbi. He will have to prove, as all reporters do with each story, that he is really fair in his reporting. That's my point. Some people think that Taibbi can do no wrong and that he's not as gullible as some reporters. I say, don't put total faith in any reporter, not even Taibbi.

I've just been been watching various news outlets report on the case against, Michael and everyone of them are making a the same malignant mistake . The media blatantly choose to ignore the timeline and it's becoming very troubling. What they are failing to report or examine is the most important piece of evidence regarding a majority of the charges brought against, Michael. I know the timeline seems very complicated, but with the amount of 'profession' within news organisation's, they should have the ability to properly exmaine these issue's.

I'm just getting really irritable because of the continuous overlooking of the timeline. I know that this is whats expected of the media but i thougt they would have a little more compassion :throwings

It's almost like a pattern. Well actually, it IS a pattern. Whenever the prosecution seems to be on the ropes or things ain't looking so hot, here come the stories from way in the boonies. The media loves doing this.

Did I just hear Savannah Guthrie just say that at this point, there is NOT a page where there were Mike's fingerprint and the accuser's fingerprint on the same page?

Well if this report turns out to be the case, then I assume that the jury will begin to believe the defense's foundation as it supports the suspicion that the accuser's fingerprints were placed on the pornogaphic material during the Grand Jury testimony.

Are they still on about that?! Good Lord, LET IT GO! Even if they were to find fingerprints, it proves NOTHING! You just CANNOT convict someone over that otherwise you would be forced to bust millions of parents across America for the same thing.

When a kid finds his parents' porn stash, he always ends up showing his friends. If the police comes knocking, how would you be able to explain why your fingerprints, your kid's fingerprints, and the fingerprints of every freaking kid in the neighborhood are all over the magazines and movies. :idontknow

Let it go and MOVE ON! We're falling asleep over here!
