Even if Michael were to be found guilty of this 'new' charge of furnishing alcohol to a minor (with no strings attached), not much would come out of it - certainly no jail-time:
25658. (a) Except as otherwise provided in subdivision ©, every
person who sells, furnishes, gives, or causes to be sold, furnished,
or given away, any alcoholic beverage to any person under the age of
21 years is guilty of a misdemeanor.
...
(2) Except as provided in paragraph (3), any person who violates
subdivision (a) by furnishing an alcoholic beverage, or causing an
alcoholic beverage to be furnished, to a minor shall be punished by a
fine of one thousand dollars ($1,000), no part of which shall be
suspended, and the person shall be required to perform not less than
24 hours of community service during hours when the person is not
employed and is not attending school.

I should have said this here but i said it in another thread:The alcohol charge is the one that's worrying me...
But look, there's no proof that Michael did that because the fact has already been established that Gavin and his brother were getting drunk when Michael wasn't even at NL much less anywhere near them.
I don't think we should freak out about this because Meserau will convey all of that to the jury in his closing statements.

Gemma, the only way Michael will be convicted of the alcohol is if he's convicted of the molestation.Originally posted by Tiger Lilly

Now unless you are talking about this 'new' charge that this **** of a judge just threw in..
I don't want Michael paying any penalty for a crime he didn't commit. But the penalty for giving alcohol to a minor is very small. Money or community service.

So he could be convicted for that because it can be established that he may not have given G any alchahol, but he knew that G was drinking when he wasn't around and didn't do anything about it???
Am I correct on this???

If the judge does that, seriously I don't know what I will do. That was not part of this original set of charges. You can just throw in a charge at the last minute so his changes of a conviction are higher.
All the alcohol testimony was hearsay. There was no talk AT ALL of Michael giving children alcohol until 2003. You'd think he would have done the same with all his other kid friends huh?
I can't believe this bullshit.

I think I may have been inncorrect about what I said about that.

Really? Are you sure? Because I thought that that charge alone serves jail time...I don't want Michael paying any penalty for a crime he didn't commit. But the penalty for giving alcohol to a minor is very small. Money or community service.

Its a fact, in any shape of form that any person male female, that has given a minor (female or male) a achololic drink is put in prison. Doesn't matter if it is a crime on its own, or it is attached with another crime; eg. used during child abuse or even used before murdering someone.
