Ok. When we try the old forum, you can see the topic titles and forum categories, etc. But when you actually click on the links to read the articles, they don't work and there's an error saying we need to repair that same table. *sigh*

Still trying.....

Good luck, Whisper.

I know this probably has nothing to do with the problem, and probably is a load of rubbish, but my laptop isn't working because of MJEOL. I took it to get repaired, and that is when the repairman said it was this forum that had crashed it. He said that MJEOL was corrupt. And that haters are hacking in, turning it into an XXX rated website.

It seems a little far fetched for me to believe, but I thought I should tell you what this man has said.

i got problems with my pc too when mjeol crashed.

but maybe it was something another..

i really don't know what to think now :8-26-03bl

Uh, no. You've gotten some bad advice. A website can't crash someone's personal computer unless someone hacked into that site and added a virus to the server that downloads onto a person's computer when they go there. And trust me, our webhost has gone over everything with a fine tooth comb. No hacks, no crashes, nothing; hence the reason why the regular website (site.mjeol.com) is still up.

The only thing affected was the forum (forum.mjeol.com) b/c of that gigantic table. I think the person you talked to may have just been trying to come up with an answer to a question that he didn't know the answer to.

Whispher,

If you can't get the problem fixed then we should use the new forum. That wouldn't bother me one bit. I really like the new one, besides it would be nice to have a fresh new start.

This is what I thought, but he was a professional so I couldn't argue with him. He studied computers in Uni too, but if you are sure that it's a load of rubbish, then of course, I'm not going to think otherwise.

I hope you get the problem sorted soon. Good luck.
