This Girl

Do you see it?
Can you tell?
How this girl cries herself to sleep
How she lives in her own Hell
She has no one, on her own
Unable to grasp
Why it had to be her

Street dumb and dependant
No way to branch out alone
Clinging on to what she feels is protected
But it’s what’s hurting her more
No trust
No love
Unable to express what she feels
Keeping it all locked inside
Eating her up from within
Scared to be who she is
Pressure and expectation
All gone
She’s nothing, just a drop out

To look at herself
Is to see a person she despises
Someone she wants to leave behind
But cant
Lashing out
Not realising what she’s doing
Fear, it can get you like that

Please
Just stop staring
Nothing for you to see here
