MICHAEL JACKSON's mother is locked in a new legal battle with bosses at AEG Live after objecting to paying more than £800,000 in court costs relating to her unsuccessful wrongful death trial.

Katherine Jackson failed to prove AEG executives were to blame for the King of Pop's 2009 death after a jury ruled in favour of the entertainment company in October (13).

The defendants have since asked a Los Angeles judge to charge their court expenses to the Jackson family matriarch, but she is hitting back.

According to new documents obtained by TMZ.com, Katherine is questioning the £360,000 spent on models and court exhibits to use as evidence in the trial, in addition to the £35,330 spent on process servers and £78,670 for depositions she claims were unnecessary.

Meanwhile, Jackson is determined to keep up the wrongful death fight - she filed an appeal challenging the ruling last month (Nov13) and recently asked for a new trial, claiming jury misconduct and general procedural errors tainted the case.

Katherine still maintains AEG bosses negligently hired Dr. Conrad Murray to care for her son as he prepared for his This Is It concerts in London. Murray was ultimately convicted of killing the singer with a fatal dose of Propofol and he was released last month (Nov13) after spending two years in prison.
