Pop superstar Michael Jackson made a surprise visit to Britain.

The singer flew in from Los Angeles and swept through Heathrow Airport with a police escort.

There was no sign of his children Prince, 10, Paris, nine, and five-year-old "Blanket".

It is believed Jackson, 48, will be meeting record company executives in London and hooking up with old friend David Gest.

I'm A Celebrity star Gest is currently appearing as a judge on ITV1 show Grease Is The Word.

Jackson is becoming a frequent visitor to the UK.

He was last in the UK in March, when he checked into a £3,000-a-night suite in London's Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel in Knightsbridge ....

Earlier this week, Jackson's lawyers dropped their effort to block an auction of the star's personal belongings. More than 1,000 Jackson family items are going under the hammer at a Las Vegas sale next week, including Jackson's gold disc for his Thriller album.

The matter was settled out of court and some of the auction proceeds will now go to charity.

MICHAEL Jackson has landed one of the biggest paydays in music history - and he doesn't even have to sing!

The troubled pop legend is moon-walking off with a wacko wage of £5million just to be there for the showbiz bash of the year.

Michael will join a host of A-list stars to celebrate HRH Prince Azim of Brunei's 25th birthday this weekend.

The £7m extravaganza is taking place in an exclusive country pile in England on Friday and Saturday.

MJ, 48, flew in from Los Angeles yesterday for the event and was swept through security at Heathrow by a police escort.

A source close to the Prince tells us: "Absolutely no expense is being spared for his party - Michael Jackson is his all-time idol and he said he'd pay whatever it took to get him over.

"Even though Michael won't be performing, the very fact that he'll be in this stately home mingling with all of the Prince's pals makes it worth every penny to Azim."

He isn't the only big name who's in for a bumper payday courtesy of the birthday boy. Soul legend Dionne Warwick is getting £250,000 - although she has to sing for her supper.

The Prince - son of one of the world's richest men, the Sultan of Brunei and fourth in line to the throne - is determined that his birthday party will be one to remember.

His advisors are even trying to lure Barbra Streisand over from California for the event.

And forget a slice of birthday cake and a balloon. His 200 VIP guests - including Jerry Hall, Pamela Anderson, Faye Dunaway, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss - will leave with goodie bags worth tens of thousands of pounds, stuffed with diamond jewellery, top-end Bose electrical goods, iPods and £400 tubs of Creme De La Mer face creams.

Friday evening will have a casino theme, followed by a disco with free-flowing vintage champagne, foie gras and caviar. On Saturday, guests can try their hand at country pursuits - everything from from clay pigeon shooting to golf - then indulge in some pampering with free spa treatments.

At that evening's grand finale - a Black & Glamorous themed ball - Dionne will sing and MJ will make a speech and mingle with party-goers.

Our source adds: "Prince Azim wants his bash to be more glamorous than the Oscars. He's adamant it should be talked about for years to come."

Well, it sounds like a Thriller of a night out to us.

Okay, there's really way too many rumors circulating now. I dunno what to believe or what I should or should not pay attention to, much less the article I posted above. Let's wait and see if we get some more valid information soon, shall we? :)

hmm, I'm quite skeptical of that last article. I mean first he's there on business, now he's attending the Prince of Brunei's birthday bash? It just doesn't make sense. Anyways, this is confusing.

It is awfully confusing, Dana. The latest rumors now is everything from Michael not waving to his fans on his way out and Michael already leaving London again. God knows what happens next. :rolleyes:

Okay, it finally seems like the seemingly hundreds of rumors that was circulating around a little while ago, now finally have boiled down to a few. Michael has been observed going on a bus, with his children, and possibly 9 luggages, and is rumored to be making his way to the Prince's exclusive party. Time will show.

Well he's certainly entitled to do both, but yeah...seems like no one has any facts and when you put up one article next to another it equals more confusion.

That's why I should be the exclusive reporter for MJ.

oh yeah..so let's all wait for the really exclusively news from miss Bain..i am sure MIke would like all of us know what's next coming up if he is ready to show up in public..anyway i am not surprise about all of those cutie and funny rumors so far..that's the KING OF POP ..that's all..:8-26-03respect: :licklips
